Much appreciated Neal mate.
I've worked every band I'm licensed for from 160m to 6m on this one bit of wire now, with over a hundred contacts each on 80/40/20m (plus over 50 on each of 30/17/15/12/10m) and it shows what you can do even with a modest indoor antenna.
That electric lawnmower lead from a skip that I used to make the doublet antenna in the loft was the find of the century for me!
(Will catch up on 6m with the rarer openings but 160m still seems harder to get a reply to despite PSK reports from Europe and further afield?????)

Nowhere near grey line time for either of us, completed QSO straightforward with no repeating, and he confirmed straightaway. Solar cycle conditions must be getting real good now as my 20m element is the worst tuned of of all the fan dipole legs. Made me have as smile on as I set off on my walk to work

New one for me on Thursday last week, 10W FT8.
XT2AW - Burkina Faso
I know it is 20m and I know it is FT8, and that some people might scream at me that is an easy combination. But for me and some other people, not so... everyone's setup is different and for me to hit Africa it is a real challenge, with a loft antenna the signal has to pass through my wall and those of two neighbours in adjoining terraced houses and anything they have up in their lofts before making their long journey in that direction.
Over the moon that they confirmed yesterday and was the final confirmation I required for the QRZ Master of Africa award, which is what I have been challenging myself for a while to work towards. I really thought Morocco on 20m was going to be my best bet for my final one, so this one was a very nice surprise.
I have tried and failed to break the pileup on other bands to this one this weekend, but for anyone else who wants to try for them I believe the trip is on for another day or two. It is nice to see an African DXpedition that confirms contact without demanding money, though this one genuinely looks like any money people might donate would go to good causes there.

Well done Neal very nice contact with your setup. It is not an easy one as Harald is one of a few that operate from there.
I only have him on 80metres although I have worked Max XT2MAX on 20metres.

Nice one Mike.
The band really does seem open way in to the night these days. I managed a few good ones last night being P4/WE9V Aruba and HS60RAST Thailand both on FT4 with just 4W, and a new one for me 4S7KKG Sri Lanka again on FT4 but with 9W. That last one looks like it makes my DXCC number 169.

Very good low power contacts, well done on 169.
I got P4/WE9V ON 10M FT4 but not on any other band.
