Cornwall area pmr?

Hi, does anyone know of any pmr nets in the Cornwall area?

There's nothing listed in the 'Nets and Skeds' section of the forum in your area unfortunately :-

However the South Coast PMR net seems to run successfully :-

I suppose it's all down to the number of users and willing participants in your area.


There have been several national campaigns by multiple people for a '8@8' shout out, (Channel 8, 8pm on Sundays), and in some areas this was successful but I know that in my own area there was nothing despite calling out on Sundays for months on end. (Someone has to transmit, otherwise you could all be listening and never know anyone was there! )


All I can suggest is you monitor PMR activity in your area, (which may prove fruitless with a standard PMR handheld and its tiny antenna), or maybe even start up a PMR group. You only need at least two people to chat regularly on say the 8@8 schedule and invite people, whether personally, social media or ideally on-air, for the group to grow.

Similarly with CB frequencies.
