Hello all
Yes I've been out and taken part in yet another net and here is my review.
Having been shopping for some lawn mower parts, I arrived at Polhill, Badgers Mount (JO01BH). Set up the Anytone AT-6666 and the Sirio 4000 on a mag mount and listened in. When the right moment appeared I called "QSK CI2290 standing by". I was then called in by the chair and joined the net.
Here is my list of stations that I worked and heard from my spot on Polhill
TE11--Adam--Near Basildon--Essex (The Chairman) CT331--Jon--Rye Harbour--East Sussex CH0G--Clive--Near Ashford--Kent CT700--Crawley Down--West Sussex (heard only) CT4092--Tom--Blackheath--S E London (heard only) LT727--Dave--Elstree--Hertfordshire DR004--Tom--Tilbury--Essex (heard only) CT1303--Robert--Snodland--Kent CT4169--Martin--Hastings--Kent KP441--Steve--Henfield--West Sussex (heard only) TE032--Adam--2 Tree Island--Essex
The net did over run by an hour, which was due to the many other stations that called in.
I'm sure if you search Facebook you can find more information.
That's it for

Hello all
So on Sunday the 5/12/2021 , I made a "last minute dot com" decision to head to a bit of high ground, on the Kent/Surrey border, and see if I could call into the net.
I set up and called out "QSK CI 2290 standing by".
I was acknowledged and joined in.
Hear are the stations I worked
JS 07--James--Bluebell Hill--Kent CT 3911--John--Isle of Wight Little Lewie--Chris--Reigate--Surrey KP 441--Steve--Henfield--West Sussex
It was at this point that I found out that I had made a rookie error. My radio batteries needed charging! So I then became a listening station.
Here is the list of stations that I heard
TM 598--Cal--Stansted--Essex LT 727--Dave--Elstree--Hertfordshire CT 684--Lee--Chelmsford--Essex CM 39--Gary--Rochester--Kent CT 331--Jon--Rye Harbour--East Sussex Coyote--Shooters Hill--S E London HL 21--Frank--Hailsham--East Sussex CT 4169--Martin--Hastings--East Sussex TE 032--Adam--2 Tree Island--Essex
There were many other stations out there and if you have a couple of spare hours on a Sunday morning I would recommend give the guys a shout.
That's it for now

. Hello all
I got the urge for a bit of radio on Sunday (06-03-2022), so headed to Ide Hill in Kent with joining the South East Sunday Net as my goal. The net is on channel 28 USB on the midblock.
I entered a busy car park, but did find a space near the end which was in the mud (explains why it was empty).
I set up the Anytone AT-6666 and Sirio 4000 on the roof, which got some funny looks from people, children and the pets!
I called "QSK 2290 on the side" and waited. I was answered by James the chairman and then waited for my turn to be passed around.
Here is the list of station that I heard (H) and or worked.
There were many more stations out there and I must say well done to all under the difficult conditions of bleed over, cross modulation and a constant low pitch tone.
That's it for now, but I will be back in the future

Hello all
It's Sunday 26-06-2022 and I've been able to get out for some morning radio.
Watch out Radio Corner, Ashdown Forest, here I come with the Anytone AT-6666 and the Solarcon A99. No amp no power mic.
So after a flick around the bands, I found the South East Sunday Net or the Morning Net already underway. The net was on channel 28 mid-block USB or 27.285MHz.
So a quick "QSK 2290 on the side" and waited for my turn.
I was then invited in by Chairman James and the net continued.
Here is the list of stations I worked and heard.
JS 07--James--Bluebell Hill--Kent KP 441--Steve--Henfield--West Sussex--Heard only TW 01--Vince--Hastings--East Sussex TE 032--Adam--Chelmsford--Essex TE 011--Alan--Langdon Hills--Essex TE 121--Tom--Harrow--North West London GE 2020--Matt--Hastings--Kent CT 3855--Pete--All Hallows--Kent 35 HL--Wolfgang--Vienna--Austria--Heard only 1 Tango 02--Steffen--Venice--Italy--Heard only AM 059--Ron--Detling Hill--Kent AM 101--Billy--Detling Hill--Kent CT 4169--Martin--Hastings--East Sussex 30 AT 102--Sammy--Spain MR 121--Matt--Copthorne--West Sussex
There were more stations on but with the strong continental stations sharing the channel it was sometime difficult to make contact.
That's it till next time

. Hello all
It was Sunday 04-09-2022 and I went out for some radio. So I packed up the Anytone AT-6666 and the Sirio 4000 and headed to Radio Corner in Ashdown Forest, East Sussex.
At 11 o'clock I joined, what seemed like a thousand people and called "2290 on the side". James the Chairman answered the call and I was in the log and ready to be passed around the group.
Here are the stations I heard (H) and or worked (W) All stations are 26 division unless otherwise stated
JS 07--James--Bluebell Hill--Kent--In the chair (W) GE 2020--Matt--Fairlight near Hastings--East Sussex (H) CT 4169--Martin--Hastings--East Sussex (W) TW 01--Vince--Hastings--East Sussex (H) CT 3855--Pete--Allhallows--Kent (H) GE 67--Richard--Marden--Kent (H) CE 01--Kate--Ely--Cambridgeshire (H) CT 4515--John--Firle Beacon--East Sussex (W) CT 3296--Rob--Ashford--Kent (H) 14 AT 206/P--Fabrice--Calais--France (H) TE 032--Adam--Two Tree Island--Essex (W) CT 4362--Chris--Reigate Town--Surrey (W) LT 727--Dave--Elstree--Hertfordshire (W) 14 SW 007--Max--French Alps--France (H) MR 121--Matt--Copthorne--West Sussex (W) CT 700--Dave--Crawley Down--West Sussex (W) TE 410--Jay--Thurrock--Essex (H) AM 095--Colin--Maidstone--Kent (H) TM 204--John--Longfield--Kent (W) EE 23--Rob--Kings Lynn--Norfolk (H)
There were many more stations and well done to James for keeping up with the many QSK's and on the sides.
Here is also a small snip it of Max talking to James 007 and Kate 01

WOW!
Has it really been 8 months since I last called in the South East Sunday morning net? Note to self, I must find time for more radio.
On Sunday 28/05/2023, I headed to my normal location of Radio Corner in Ashdown Forest and set up the Anytone AT-6666 with the Solarcon A99 mounted on a 3 metre pole, all powered by car batteries.
Now I was set up, turned the radio on, just in time to hear James (JS 07) call out 1 last time before the net ended. So being a 'last minute dot com' call in, I was only able to work a few stations, here is my list.
JS 07--James--Bluebell Hill--Kent--In the chair LT 727--Echo Dave--Elstree--Hertfordshire CT 4169--Martin--Hastings--East Sussex AM 200--Rob--Maidstone--Kent TE 421--Alan--Leigh on Sea--Essex
I did hear many other stations, near and far, to my QTH and I'm sure if I was earlier, I would have worked them.
So if you have a couple of hours free on a Sunday morning, find a hill, a bump, a sea front or open area and give the net a try.
It's on 27.285 USB and starts at 11:00 BST or 10:00 UTC (which every you use)
That's it till next time
