Hi guys. Thanks for having me here. I have been on and off CB since about 79. Started with a cobra 19X then bought a few legal rigs in the 80’s. Formed a band over the airwaves. DJ’s and too many Mike Keyers put me of for a few years. Came back late 90’s when it had quietened off a bit so bought a cobra 148 and a couple of radio shack hand heads. It all went a bit quiet so I got married and packed up all my stuff. Now I’m 60 I’m thinking about getting it all out again and maybe try out a few of the new rigs that are out. Looking forward to seeing what goes on here so 10 10 for now

Hi Berni,
Welcome to Charlie Tango.
I hope your return to CB is a good one and it's always worth getting on air to see what's about.

Again welcome Berni. It might be very silent in your aria on the fm but ssb is picking up slowly. I came back just over 2 years ago only to find that silence but a bit on ssb now and again. Then like many others i took the plunge and got my ham licence so now got the world to talk to. Have fun with radio whatever path you take m8. 73s.

Yes John, like yourself I'm newbie/oldie coming back to the chat box after many years. My first rig was a maxcom am 40 in 78 followed by a keycom 1000 and finished up with a Tristar 727 120ch am fm (loved that rig) Never got in to the uk fm or ssb, so now at 60yrs young and whispers that CB is making a come back I got myself a brand new setup. By the way, I'm a expat from west Scotland and live in west Florida 22yrs and am pulling in contacts from all over the uk, Europe, South America and WOW Austraila and Tasmania including all over the contental USA using SSB/AM using a Sirio base antenna and an out the box unmodified with no power amps (burners) Anytone 6666 INCREDIBLE, wish I had this rig back in 70s/80s Will be listening out for you. Enjoy
