Hi people! I'm Richard from the Fylde coast, coming back to the snap, crackle and pop after many years. I started on 27/81 FM during my school years in 1983 on a Cybernet Beta 3000 when Boots flogged them off for peanuts, I still have it, works perfectly, beautiful audio from it. My dad got me a Mk1 Thunderpole and many hours of fun began, including dead keyers and music players. The good old days? Not missed. I also made a VOX mike switch as a college project. I always used to look at multimodes in those bygone days so three years ago I bought a President Jackson (5 band) off ebay, immaculate, and a new Thunderpole modulator type aerial, not the best but enough to give me a taste of what I missed. A few months later I bought a new CRT SS6900 which took some getting used to but I like the flexibility of it, I do need a dat file to get the channels organised. A 1/2 wave is the next thing. I would like to request a call sign please after all the waffle, thanks.
