| I have a strange issue with my mag mount. Oddly enough a had a similar issue with a rill mount on another vehicle with a different antenna. In this instance, it's a Sirio PL 145 mount and Sirio 5000 PL antenna. When I screw the antenna on too tight, all incoming signals drop down and I send RF squeals when TXing. Slacken it off a bit and everything is fine. I can't see why this would happen. Any ideas anyone?
In some better weather I'll open it up and see if I can improve the ground connection some how. As it is, its via a contact plate on a single screw hole, where the top part of the mount screws down. I've been in there before to re-wire with RG8 mini, I also used silicon sealant around various possible water ingress points. | |

| Common fault with them is the coax connection in the base. I have 2 of them bought at different times and both had bad coax connections. | |
