Subject: Program the SS9900 to the MAX? Thu Feb 24, 2022 12:47 am
Hi all,
Has anyone programmed the SS9900 to its full coverage from 24.880 - 30.000 please? I've been very happy with mine since I bought it a couple of years ago, as it came pre-programmed from a UK supplier with most of the lovely 10-12m frequencies on it and the UK FM band, all of which I've enjoyed immensely and made great contacts on! I'm just thinking that I can expand a bit on the original band in order to cover the full 10-12m UK allocation? I have the programming lead and software, and chirp, so it'll either remain a working radio, or be demoted to a door-stop after I've been at it.

Go for it i say but then why ???.
Hi Alan,
It's a 'licence' thing as I've just passed my foundation. One of the local groups operate an ssb net on the highest frequency my radio can currently handle, which got me thinking that maybe I should look to expand it further, just in case, and until I get a new radio!

Don't think you can change the bands that are already there. All you can do with the software / cable is to change your menu, change your roger beeps and add more beeps.

As far as I'm aware the 9900 is fully programmable. I was also under the impression that it can be put into VFO mode and you can simply scroll through the band.
