The IARU Region 1 has released a note regards Amateur Radio transmissions concerning the Ukraine.
"Any radio amateur currently transmitting from Ukraine is risking his or her life. If you hear a Ukranian station, do not broadcast its callsign, location or frequency - whether on the band, in a cluster or on social media. You may be putting lives at risk."

Thank you for highlighting Victor. I only heard one over the weekend who was taking part in the French contest. I was going to post hearing that one in the other thread I made, but thought better of it even before reading this post. It may be just a decision of the operator to continue, but at the same time it is a huge country and there are bound to be a few remote parts where the odd one or two people haven't learnt of the ruling yet.

I also worked a 315 division in Donetsk Ukraine today I wished him and his family well and stay safe then ended the QSO.When he said Ukraine Independence it really struck home what a terrible situation he must be in.As Victor said if you do QSO with any of these stations keep it short and for his/her sake don’t log it.Maybe that person just wanted to have his voice heard and to let us know he’s coping as best as he can.Whatever the reason I just wished him well and what else could I say. Congrats on the contact Tom, your station is in top working order and you are clearly operating well as we're not into the E skip season proper yet.
I hope for everyone in the region and those on both sides that this conflict ends soon. I would hate and don't mind admitting that I would be terrified if I was there right now.

Great advice currently being given by various Amateur Radio organisations around the world.
From the D.A.R.C. - Deutschen Amateur Radio Club
https://www.darc.de/home/
Translation :-
"What is not needed are people who think that they are now "saving the world" with their emergency radio kits and know everything better anyway. The Ukrainian President has already received confirmation from Elon Musk and Starlink that the appropriate equipment for broadband Internet access via satellite is on the way and mobile networks are currently also working. i.e. communication via shortwave is currently not needed and I repeat myself:
The best we can do is listen."
