Subject: Cheap Deviation Meter ? Fri May 06, 2022 6:43 pm
Hi all
I'm looking for a cheap Deviation Meter which will help me to adjust the volume of my CB mic. Anyone know where I can pickup one fairly cheap? I looked on eBay but the second hand ones are all I can find.
Thanks for reading. Look forward to some help on this topic
- Craig.

Second hand is all you're likely to find as it's a function that's now incorporated in radio test sets rather than individual tester items.
It is possible to measure FM deviation using a spectrum analyser and a bit of maths.

Thanks for the reply. I may just pickup a second radio just to test the fm mic deviation on transmit.
... Seems after some research that second hand deviation meters are often being sold at ridiculous prices.

I dunno, I got the FT-480R yesterday for £105 on eBay, I was prepared to pay a lot more, but maybe the other buyers fell asleep by 8.30pm
