Really looking forward to the challenge.
I have got my Optima, sm30 desk mic and trusty Sirio 4000 ready. If the weather is good, I will go with the drive-on mount and the Antron 99. I would love to get some contacts on my Stalker 9fdx, too.

Hopefully the dx-gods will smile on us all. The old amp will be doubling up as a foot-warmer.
Good luck, Lads.
Good dx and best 73s.

I know we're a couple of days in so I'm late in saying, but good luck to all!
Was mostly listening yesterday and will be again today as my throat feels like I've swallowed a cactus. Typical, I don't know why I can't be ill on work days like normal people Managed a start though, and see Al and Victor have too, well done.
Heard a few stations go back to CT callsigns, including 11SD001 go back to 26CT406, and another CT got in to 115AD01 which I failed to reach. Got me wondering how many people are checking the forum and are aware of this challenge, and if it is advertised on the FB page (I don't have a FB account, but am aware there is a page on there from reading about on this forum). Seems there are CT members managing some good DX out there, but not doing this challenge. I guess some people are not competitive and joining in is not their thing, but at the same time wonder if everyone knows about this. Forums I have administered in the past have had bulk mail out functions where all members could be mailed in one go to inform of such events, don't know if this one does?
The AT Santas are active and so far have been really friendly and accommodating of non-AT stations calling in to them, they were two of the three I had yesterday. Just making those who are new to DXing and this challenge in particular aware that these are some really good and friendly operators if you want to try for your first point or two.

Well said Neal and I certainly wish yourself and others involved the very best of luck. More importantly that anyone joining in thoroughly enjoys themselves!
Like you I definitely heard a lot of CT numbers being called back from European stations and hoping they'd like to pop up their country scores on the challenge.
It has been scrolling past on the sites ticker-tape at the top of the web page for some months now (I think straight after the 10m challenge which you did so well at organising) and you've been doing a great job of dropping in a link around the forum. Along with Al's (Kaoss) current running of it I'm hoping it gets the attention it deserves.
If it helps anyone I never thought I'd be in with a chance with my lawnmower-lead antenna in my loft but was well chuffed to get to Italy. It is after all just meant to be for a bit of fun and certainly to provide encouragement for others to get on air.
I'll echo Neal's sentiments regards the absolute friendliness and totally gentlemanly way that many CB users operate and with the Alfa Tango's being on air with their Santa Contest you should all stand a chance of some good contacts.
So come on, why not give it a bash and enjoy some fun radio.

Great to see you having scores on the board already Jimmy.
Weather doesn't impact attempts this way.. one of the advantages of indoor antennas. But, there's still life and family to work around. Weekends are my best hope for this type of challenge, but my better half said last night she's booked this weekend off work and "you've got me all weekend this weekend". Arghh!! ..of course I smiled and replied "wonderful". Will try to squeeze a few minutes in here and there
