Subject: New here. Hi to all (Issued) Mon Oct 10, 2022 8:25 am
Not sure what to put as in intro, I know little about CB, but would like to learn.
I have a President George used as a home base that I purchased a number of years ago with a Solarcom 99 antennae, this was used for about 10 hours and then packed away as there wasn't much (anything really) happening on CB. I also have a Maycom EM27 that spent some time as a mobile in a Jeep.
I came across the packed radios a couple of weeks ago and gave them a quick try out... both still working and ,it seems, a little more traffic on the air so decided to give it all another try including the purchase of a President Randy III.
Haven't had the opportunity to talk with anyone yet or to test radios as I'm in Spain and i'm also a dummy that only speaks English... hoping to pick up some other English speakers as I go. Did come across an Italian HAM speaking, I think, to Mexico, but I only 'listen' on those bands.
Thanks and greetings. Can I request a call sign? Kacey
Have been thinking, if all goes well, to buy another radio for the car. I like President, any suggestions on a suitable radio that would match/work well with my existing kit?.

Buenas tardes Sharpshooter,
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll go and check it out. 'Heat' might be an issue, it would be a dash top mount (windscreen in sun) only place in my Jeep.
Someone recommended the Mckinley... any thoughts?. However, has raised some other questions which I'll try posting another thread to.
