Flip, memories of coming back from a night on the town on the last bus Al.......makes me feel old.

None of this call up an "Uber" nonsense, far more sociable with a bus full of late night revellers! Cheaper too!

Actually met my Missus after a few stints at a working men's club. Live music, great atmosphere and cheap beer! Plus I could get a 'Mild & Bitter' there and an order of a 'Light & Bitter' didn't see a confused bar lady come back with a pint of bitter and a box of matches!?!?!? (Happened once!)


Back in our day you could go t' town, get t' flicks with the girlfriend, hit the pub, fish & chip supper, late night bus back home.......and still get change out of a Farthing!


Tell that t' youngsters nowadays....and they'll not believe ya.

Today is a Saturday (3/4/21)Steven lol Easter Sunday tomorrow

Guy next door to us put his bin's out yesterday ready for the collection in the morning.
Didn't have the hart to tell him he will work it out lol.

Just worked South Africa on 10m ssb so open that way heard a couple of other ZSs but to low

thinking on buying a 7mhz 4m mobile radio and mobile antenna but i suppose if 11m is dead will 4m be dead to been a ham for a few years and want to start using it i have two good radios that cover 10m one is my magnum 257 with the rfx 75 on the back and it works very well

and on friday out mobile the pmr burst into life on chan 8 there was a lift on and its got very busy time i got to the supermarket its was but going down but it was very good got home and nothing.

so is more going to use this as a shout box as its better then nothing
