Hello everyone,
I just wanted to introduce myself here
I am Gary , from Luton and I have decided to get back into the CB Radio hobby - My last time was back in the old 80s AM days and the early legal FM days as well. I was a youngster at that time but i have decided to get back into this I understand the CB airwaves are a lot quieter than back in the 80s but thats not a bad thing at all
Currently , I have recently purchased a Handheld President Randy 3 and added a different telescopic ariel to this product
I will be adding to my CB equipment to purchasing a home based unit and a decent antenna setup to get some distance from home
I watch a few youtube channels to get me information on this hobby such as Fred in the Shed and im sure most of you know that channel.

Hello Gary and welcome!
I, like you, came back to the CB hobby last January. Very different from the 80’s when we were all fighting for a free frequency. I have to admit that right at the beginning I got a bit disappointed by the small numbers of stations still operating. But very quickly I found a very friendly local group on fm and very soon put a very decent vertical antenna on my roof. From there and also from getting a decent radio, I was soon able to DX and converse all over the world. What an experience! So glad I returned to the hobby. Almost forgot to mention, first place I visited for infos, advice and tips was this very forum!!
