Anyone here who has chased very rare dxpeditions previously care to share any tips to help assist the rest of us to try and make and complete a contact with this one?
From the UK, I think it will be tough for foundation power levels taking into account the distance and the pileups to get through, but not impossible. It's more than 500 miles closer to the UK than the Falklands which they're sailing from and some of us have made low power SSB QSOs to there through mini pileups previously, so there is hope.
I haven't chased anything extremely rare before, but from experience of attempting QSOs with not so high profile dxpeditions my tips would be for SSB the same as any other chasing.. both careful listing (to how the operators are working) and timing of making your calls. For FT8 I'm too new to give advice, but can pass on a tip a member of my local club said which was for a recent high profile dxpedition a number of fake calls were being decoded, so don't take it for granted you have made the contact.. make sure you are in their log.
Any other tips?

Don't give up, keep at it till they pack up. Hopefully 22days will give us a chance.
Hopefully on FT8 it will be F and H mode as this will pull you to their frequency. I don't see it mentioned but assume this mode. If it is don't call on their frequency, go above 1000hz to call them.

Does appear to be Dxpedition mode.
Any one not familar. Go to advanced in WSJT-X and set Hound mode. By rights the DX will be below a 1000hz, call them above 1000hz. Do not call on their frequency. If they hear you and call you your frequency will jump to theirs. QSO is complete when you get RR73, no need and do not send 73s
