hi all i have just bought a alinco dx70 and i looking for any one that can repair it. I have found that when you switch it on the numbers flash on and off and the rx light some times goes off at different numbers. I am looking for a repirer in the hertfordshire area or round about. Many thanks bill

if you reset it with the 3 steps from the user manual, does helps?

well Ive done all the reset steps and now i have no green light no sound and flashing numbers

Sorry for that, the sold as seen does mean seller was aware unit is malfunction since you got it?

A couple of things that are easy to check. There is a backup battery in the head unit that could need replacing followed by a reset. Secondly, if a past user has fitted the wrong screws in the mounting bracket, they can short/damage components on the PCB.

well here i am again and i would like to thank you all for the coments. I have found the problem and thank god it was not a bad problem. well i took the face plate of and wiggled the cables and was not happy the way they were in. so i took them out and replaced them. put the face plate back on and found the numbers stopped flashing and the green light was on. so again thanks for your help bill ct3036
