As I'm new to the CB world I look to you all for information.
I want to put a CB in my van. I have a spare Radio DIN space, which radios are good for this? I am on a budget of about £100.
I have a MAG mount and antenna that i'll use for now until I can save up for a better one.

Hi Stu,
There aren't that many DIN sized radios on the market, they're either larger or micro size. One that does spring to mind would be the Alinco DR135DX or CRE8900 (same radio) unfortunately it doesn't fall within the £100 budget brand new but you might be able pick one up on the secondhand market closer to that price.

Thunderpole T3000 is DIN sized and £95
TTI TCB-1100 is also DIN sized.
Knights CB have some DIN adapters to suit about 20 different radios...https://www.kcb.co.uk/contents/en-uk/d41.html

Thank you for your replays.
I have been given a midland 98 plus and a din mount. this will get me going for now, once I get more funds I may upgrade.
I have it in the Din slot but not wired up as yet, it will be wired to my leisure battery in the coming week.
all I need then is to put a SWR meter on it to tune it in.

President McKinley is a SSB radio that is DIN size with a front firing speaker like the TTI and Thunderpole ones mentioned so if you want to get into SSB at least there's a solution now.

In the long run I’ll look at getting SSB but at present I don’t have funds
