At least my rig seems to be back in operation....I think. (Had an ALC problem too!) Just waiting for those conditions to pop up enough and allow my 10 Watts with bit of lawnmower lead antenna to do its magic!
Honestly, challenges like this are a great incentive to do stuff you might not otherwise.

Hey cheers John and Vic , I’ve this week off so do have a bit of spare time for radio , bands not great but there are the odd DX stations who are strong , as you say having the beam certainly helps but won’t make much difference when the sporadic E kicks in , will defo switch to the vertical if and when it kicks off
Good luck guys and happy hunting
Craig

Well done John. I've managed one more for today 16.04, but you've still got the 3rd position pipped by your efforts.

Neal, well done on the ZP! I was looking for both the Paraguayan stations on earlier, but couldn’t hear either. Stateside just popped up briefly about 18:30z

Nice one John. I was kicked off the radio half hour ago as better half going to bed (shack is in bedroom). Another Chilean station was coming through quite strong just before I turned off, but he wasn't hearing me. I've updated the table. Won't have much time for radio ops for a few days as a lot of work on plus wedding anniversary this week, fingers crossed there'll be some good conditions next weekend.

Neal, congratulations on the wedding anniversary. We clocked up 45 years last month, what a lucky girl she is!

Craig, well done with 4W1A, haven’t even heard him, I could only hear the “policemen” continuously shouting “spleet” on his TX frequency! At least that left me able to work the Qatari station on my first call to him!
I was surprised to work K1RX in New Hampshire around 14:30z with 5/7 both ways, but he disappeared as quickly as he appeared.

Cheers John and oh yes the spleet police they cause more qrm than the odd Op who doesn’t know it’s splits , I finished work early around 2pm and couldn’t hear the 4W1A but the split frq was a bit lively , 2hours later he came up to around a 5/7 with not many takers so I cranked the mast up a got him 5/9 , happy days working a new one , a few North America around later on which was good along with a bit of Caribbean All good fun
