I made contact with 1SD-CToo3 yesterday afternoon and he kept saying to me - E-QSL only. I looked it up and can see from a website that he's from Sicily. 

Does this mean that he wants me to sign up to the website and send him a message/ QSL card - or is there another way to do it. I'm sure someone on here will know. Hopefully. If not I'll just leave it.

Hi Billy. I think he's just telling you that's the only way he confirms contacts as apposed to sending paper QSL cards. Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about signing up anywhere and confirming, unless you want to get real serious with your DXing and want to get "official" contact confirmations.

I've exchanged emails with people I have had QSOs with previously to send virtual cards which is option you could use in the future, but you need to have a good copy on each other to get the email address precisely right.

Without going thru the site I would presume you make your own QSL card and then send it electronically
rather than post one.
