Hi Howard,
One of our ex administrators always used a Moxon and had great success with it.
I'd say that it's definitely worth giving it a go.

I've got one in my collection, used it for a 10m low power entry in one of the worldwide contests. Even at 16ft it got out really well and had good rejection. Nothing like pointing a beam towards the USA and hearing all of Europe disappear so you can actually hear the USA instead of just a wall of European stations.
Worked China longpath with just 100W.

Hi Howard i use a moxon over a vertical Gainmaster its usually 4-6 points better on receive and transmit my last interesting contact was with the falklands , it also works well on the sporadic E and weighing only 4kg and not a huge antenna . I even brought a spare one just in case 73's Mark

Cheers chaps Yes I'm going to try a homebrew which I will build for 10/11 meters and see how it goes and compare with the sirio 2016 I have and that's a good antenna if I say.

I have used a Moxon Antenna in the past with great results and was building another one until I saw the Mini Horse - A Folded 3 element beam - Similar to the Moxon - now in the process of constructing this antenna. Sorry - Can't paste links yet.
