Hi John. Looking good. What you need now is the matching speaker that would have come with it. I bought one of these in Grand Canaries when I was on my honeymoon in 1981. It came in a huge box which I left behind in the hotel bedroom. I wrapped it towels, put it in my case and then flew home. Of course I went through the nothing to declare chanel at customs....Happy days .

Subject: Loving the frequency counter! Sat Jun 03, 2023 8:52 am
Nice job saving this old legend. I have resurrected my old Madison too, it's one of my favourite home base radios, a hand-me-down from my awesome Gramps many years ago. My original clock is still working but it's noisy and although I like it "original", I have already swapped out the cooked PSU for a good switch mode PSU so it's no longer concourse. I wouldn't go for a blue one or blue illumination but that's just me, I'm not knocking what you've done at all, it's just a personal preference, you've done an amazing job, love the checker-plate too
After all that waffle, what I wanted to ask is what frequency counter did you use?
73s, Gaz

Hi Gaz Thank you for the comments my friend . As to the counter I used it was an Amazon purchase a little pricey but for the size is was perfect .
Just helping hand I kept the plate for holding the original clock in place and with a couple of small L shape brackets I was able to mount the counter in the right spot for me. P.S. I will upload a pic soon of my other Madison that I have kept nearly original. Hope this helps Regards John
