No worries there John, look forward to sticking more SSB in my logs.
I may be a little late on parade as my wife was caught working late and I like to get her a cuppa when she gets home. Hopefully I'll catch everyone in time.

40m's packed tonight, long and noisy with a lot of Continental. Anyone find a gap?

Nothing heard from CTs here in Barnstaple, most Gs are very weak…

Heard Graeme 5/9+ but then a lot of QSB/QRM and disappeared into the noise, lost the Welsh station completely.
Gutted as I wanted to try and raise Alan Pilot and thought we had Wales this way tonight.

Think you're right there Graeme, lot of Continental where I'm at without seemingly any spaces.
Shot up to 7.189 and heard you 5/9+ again but couldn't raise you. There's now M5AFD up on 7.190 but couldn't raise him either. Seems he's struggling too.
Shame but there's always another time. Everyone up for trying again next week?
(I'm hoping I might catch someone in the mean time now that I'm getting the hang of keying a mic instead of clicking that mouse! )

Yes Alan mate, there's always next week and Mother Nature can be a fickle cow!
If gaining a contact on radio was as easy as picking up a telephone I'd have lost interest real quick but the haphazard nature of HF does make it all rather good fun.
(I near wet me self when I heard a MW6 thinking I should get a couple of mates from that way.)

I wouldn't worry Mark, I've often done the same whether it be via a big switch or a modern push button select.
Doesn't help if you're an FT8 fan where everything is USB.
(Wait until you leave the radio in 'Data' mode and can't figure out why you're unable to key the mike! )

Are we going to try again today?
HF conditions look a little better than last week so there may be a little hope for us
7pm again on 7.180 to start and update in the chat if needed?

I'm afraid I'm gonna have to drop out tonight fellas, family is over for the 'Station Masters' birthday.
(Yep, she's 21 again...again...and almost a bit again. No, I didn't forget, her b'day is actually tomorrow but family is over early....means we can have a tipple or three tomorrow. )
Hope some of you make contact.
Catch some of you hopefully on the next one.
