Well we are getting overrun here in the EU bands by some DX but hard to tell from where! Why do they come in on the frequencies between the CB ones? EU FM is 27.xx5 and these guys are squeezed in between on 27.xx0 as well as CB freqs.

French stations are favourites for doing that ,they also do it on SSB ie: say they call out on the 27555 and instead of QSYing to say 27525 or 27520 they will go to some obscure one like 27523 or something like 27524, its pain in the ar5e , also Polish CB FM is slightly off frequency it's a bit like our UK FM is with its .25 at the end of the frequencies theres it's sort of like just off EU and UKFM frequency .

Hi Nubster. I often see mention of "mids". What does it mean? Regards, Ethergoddle.

That's 26.965 - 27.405. My Ft-7B can also tune that. I'll have a listen, thanks.

Yip, weak but readable. The FT-7B has a very narrow bandwidth, but I can make out the commentary. I wonder what power the guy is using.

Nothing under 1Kw it's like a competition on that channel to see who has the most power ,been going for years its called the Superbowl, TBH ya quite lucky to hear them as we are in the low sun cycle ATM when the conditions come back properly if they ever do you will hear the U.S all over the bands plus Canada, West Indies, Brasil Mexico , no bull5hit mate

Most of the EU is flowing in to Finland now, UK Stations are from SW UK and North East coast.

Martin/John,
South Africa was very low to me but I was only on the vertical and didnt work them sadly. was trying to pull the log to paste here but not having any luck with that either Some EU stations including 68div were working into 44 thou.
There was also a very obvious 91 fake station calling on T5 that didnt fool anyone!
