France, Spain and Portugal signals were romping in at midday on LSB upper midblock and USB on and around the T5. 31PAT001 on 27.580 had a strong signal for quite a while, heard him work a few stations in England and Scotland.
I wasn't strong enough from home to get through to any of them so decided to head out mobile to a bit of open ground, first time I've done that since coming back to CB. Still wasn't able to get back to any from there either, but much better receive conditions with no neighbour QRM and the skip continued to roll in till about 14:30 where I was including Brazil 3AT101 on 27.610 USB.
First time I've heard 11m skip this active since returning to this, sounded just like I remembered it. Really looking forward to the coming months now.
Had a few short QSOs with some "locals" before heading home, all 20 mile plus, one 50 plus, which I'd never be able to receive at home through the noise, so that made me happy too. At least I know I'm working, even if I'm not the strongestÂ

Yes, have been some great and a little strange conditions today Sweden was strong to the UK too around the time you posted. I parked up on the edge of town and stuck a t2lt up on a 8m flag pole for half hour whilst my daughter had a dance class. I only managed just one acknowledgement back from a 21 div operator before they were wiped out by many others in their country plus many from here and Wales calling back to them. All good fun though.
Just before pulling the pole down had a brief QSO on the T5 with an operator in Dunstable. Even though there was about 60 miles between us he was roaring in like he was parked right next to me! Normally I would have to strain my ears to hear that "local" distance through the skip noise.
Little bits and pieces coming through at home now including Brazil, but neighbour's QRM is making it a bit too difficult for me to hear.

The sporadic E landing here over the last couple of hours has been, well.. sporadic.
Been sat in a field about a mile walk from my home in the lovely sunshine having a listen, and the odd call. In between the short periods of dead silence, first Scotland popped up for a bit, then it was North of Ireland's turn, before moving on to the more usual 14 and 30 divisions. Shortest range operator that blasted by ears off was 29ICB029 from Donegal Ire, that's a pretty short 300 mile hop.
