The band has been buzzing the last few days. I start the day on 10 then go up slowly.

Well done both. 10 was really alive today, and still is with Mid and South Americas. Heard a lot of juicy DX but most were calling North America and Canada only for the contest, so left them to it. I managed a few into the US with my SSB 10w, but all this side, furthest was WW4LL Georgia state.

Still don't know if THIS was a glitch or not, but either way it become an interesting day, on 10 at least. Heard loads from all over the world. Conditions were amazing. That said, I only managed QSOs with a few, but still more than enough to make me happy. SSB, 10w
HZ1SK - Saudi Arabia PP5BT - Brazil V31XX - Belize 2x with Russia and 1x with Ukraine
Looks like conditions are on the up! Heard strong stations from all along the equator from Indonesia to the mid and south Americas. Some Americas still coming through at the moment. Hope others caught some of the action?

There's been a major solar storm the last couple of days, and I've seen it very evident on the CB frequencies this last weekend.......after the FM net on Sunday, I tuned to SSB on 27,375/85/95 LSB, whereby it went absolutely mad with Americans!!.....and there was me desperate to pack up and go home! No contacts made unfortunately, as I needed to get home for nature!

Worked and listened same as Cozzmick Sam did on 11m yesterday on 10m except instead of Bahamas had a different central American country, first time worked for me on any band. Checked through my old 11m QSL cards and definitely a new one for me so really happy. SSB, 10w
NP2AR - US Virgin Islands

Thank you. As long as we continue to get some skip on weekends during the challenge I should hopefully get a few points

Last weekend was awesome on 10m. Had a few central and south American contacts. Bonaire being a new one to me. Also managed one into Cape Verde, another 10m first for me.
Just now, another new entity for me on 10m, SSB 10w
VU3WEW - India
So how much to I have to bribe the forum admins to back date the start of the 10m Summer challenge to this time last week? Â You watch, I bet I won't even make Italy for the next few weeks now

I haven't had the radios on much the last few days as have been well under the weather and just wanted some silence. The few times I have flicked them on though have heard some stations from places I have not heard to date via SSM on 10m including Japan and Taiwan. I didn't make it back to them though sadly, but really happy to hear them.
Only 1x 10m contact for me since Sunday and that is
G1ELF - England (a massive 4 miles from me)
It was really nice to talk to someone local though, extremely rare for me, just as quiet as 11m around here.
Also made contact recently with the person I sold my Ham Jumbo III to back in the '90s who was studying for their ticket. He is fully licenced now and still in the town. He remembered me "oh you're the one who made a full size quad and got New Zealand on it". I haven't managed that yet since coming back to this No longer has the Jumbo sadly.. that was a beast, modded to drop to frequencies lower than my 6900 goes. Wonder if it's still out there and someone's still talking the world on it...
