Once summer has gone it will most likely pick up a bit.

Well done on San Andres. Had a glance at DX maps whilst at work yesterday and saw that one on there and wondered if anyone where would manage it. Believe the DXpedition is on for another week so definitely one I will listen out for.

Ten metre SSB was open all day yesterday here ( I know because the radio was on all day lol as I messed with win4yeasu and shack ergonomics ) , at one time I was receiving Brazil,Canada,Namibia and Cyprus all whilst beaming at the USA. Kazakhstan,Egypt,India and two from the USA ( MA+OH ) made it into my log .

So wished I could of played radio all day lol, but only had a few minutes here and there. Some great ones into your log. I managed a couple, but no new entities being
4X6FR - Israel PU5ABB - Brazil
Heard Cyprus 5B4AIF, he's been putting out a cracking signal recently and I have spoken to to him a couple of times in past couple of weeks so didn't call him this time.
I know there was a Vatican station moving around the bands, heard them on 20 and 17 working split, was hoping to catch them on 10 but didn't hear during the times I had the radio on. I know it's not far away, but haven't had a contact to there since mid '90s on 11m so one I am listening out for on 10.

Other than DK3EE and the HB0/DL?? YL via backscatter I've not heard any European stations closer than Greece,Turkey or Russia for weeks but YMMV, so HV0A might be tricky at this time of year which would have been typical for when you want Italy . I last worked HV0A on 10m SSB in 2017 but cant remember if I was an M6,2E0 or M0 as I was all three that year lol.

No radio for me today but an update on FH/OK1M , I'm not shown in his log nor are several others that I know of that worked him yesterday on 10m SSB , in fact his latest upload shows no contacts on 10m SSB !. Unsure atm if hes messed up his log or it was another HB0TW type cretin .

24/09/22 Interesting amount of strong short haul Euro on 10m SSB today mixed in with plenty of real DX, couldn't resist going back to a Netherlands station which is pretty short skip for me. Mali was a new one for the year ,Kuwait and Oman also itl. Failed on two into Indonesia , ce la vie

Over the moon this evening to manage one into the Falklands using my usual little setup (SSB, 10w, indoor fan dipole). Was very happy when I managed one to there on 12m a while back, but this is my first on 10m.

Some good distance there Mike. I see the Chilean one you made is using the same little radio as me. Haven't has a QSO with a /MM station yet either, nice one.
Is Y1CBC call correct? It looks to be another Indonesian from the grid square you posted, but might be missing a character?

28/09/22 Not so good World wide today from my location I don't think on 10m SSB but I did catch an opening to the State's. St.Helena (AF) was first in my log before moving the beam NW, 2x TN ,NC,WV,VA and GA worked.

Watched this station others were working and thought it's not right but had a go any way. The call comes up not DXCC on QRZ but may be they left off something.

29/09/22 10m SSB has been in good shape whenever I dipped in , Australia ( VK6) 2X Indonesia both Central Java and one was only running 5w. Cayman Islands with me on 10w as I forgot to switch the amp out of bypass and 4x U.S.A ( 2xGA , MD,TX ) made the log.

Mostly missed a good US opening tonight I think. Band was just livening up as I was called by one of my sons who had broken down so had to go be a Dad taxi rescue service Managed one QSO just after I got back that I momentarily got overexcited about, till I realized that he wasn't anywhere near his main call. Never mind, happy for any 10m QSO I can get Using usual setup..

Called "Mike-Seven-Victor-India-Charlie" in response to a CQ and was replied with "Mike-Seven-Victor-India-Charlie you are five nine. QRZ"
They say FT8 is boring.
At least it wasn't the typical "My name is Peter. The name this way is Peter. Papa-Echo-Tango-Echo-Romeo. Running an ICOM....", wait, don't tell me......a 7300?
Ha! Ha! Ignore my downer on it all but I'm often hit with the old "FT8 isn't proper radio" whereas pointing a beam to someone pointing theirs at me with a 5/9 SSB report is.
Enjoy your radio, no matter what it may be.

01/10/22 The morning started off pretty poor here in IO81 land and the Oceania contest was a disappointment for me on Ten , missed out on the Philippines and Taiwan both would have been new ones for me on 10m ssb , a VK6 and 2x YBs ( West Java and Bali ) were all that was netted in the contest . Djibouti was a new one for the year then another stint at the radio later brought US Virgin Islands , FL, MS,2xIL,VA & TN from the States QC & NL from Canada.
