I was trying to make my new radio work as I wanted it to on digimodes most of yesterday and the day before. Who'd have thought that you'd have to press the VOX button to activate VOX eh?
I did manage three new ones, EK1KE (Armenia), HC2GRC (Equador) & SV5AZK (Dodecanese).
I'm in the office today but I can see remotely that the band is wide open to Russia, Ukraine etc.

You may have been a victim of filtering* - where you set the software to ignore 'countries' already worked. Check with PSKreporter if you are being heard by stations in that area.
*I use WSJT-Z which has the facility, I don't use it, but it has other features I like. Filtering is evil.

Could be I suppose, I always answer anyone who calls. I had a little pile of Russians the other day after working some DX. Always glad whoever needs the country or locator and quite often I need theirs as well. There will be other days so not to worried.

Lots of rapid fading yesterday but managed to work these on FT8. Heard much more stuff, a few VKs in the morning but it was one way stuff. Also heard Z81D but could not break the pile.

SSB, 10w
RK6FO - Russia UR4LQ - Ukraine SV9RGI - Crete (first QSO to this one for 2022)
Israel and French Guiana heard, but couldn't make it work. The station from the latter, FY5KE, worked last year, but would of been nice to make a second contact.

Nice one Roger on the St Helena contact. I have heard a station from the island a few times in recent days using SSB, but haven't been able to make myself heard through the crowd.

St Helena was a fairly easy one Neal, oddly the St Lucia chappie was being heard here all day but was difficult to get through to.
Not hearing that much on 28USB yet, 27 was fairly active today though. Still splitting my time between 28 and a fairly dead 50.
7Q7CT (Malawi) was the only new one today. FT8, half wave vertical, 40W

Ten was really noisey at my QTH yesterday.
Some DX around but only caught one station in Brazil, already worked before so not new.

10w will get round the world well on ft4/8. Had the USA and Japan myself today on ft8 running 5w. Would try lower power but don't think me radio will go any lower just to see.

Thank you Mike. I hope to use a lot lower than my licenced limit in the coming months.. just waiting for that Spring E skip to start
At the moment I am actually finding it quite difficult on 10m, for that 1 I managed today there were 5 other stations around Europe and Russia that I didn't make it back to, plus the station I managed on 15m didn't hear me on 10m when they were on there earlier. So maybe not doing quite as well as you think

Neal It can be funny in that you can see loads but can't get back to them. Then out of the blue Japan or somewhere call's you well on ft4/8 that is.

I find ten quite strange at times. Quite often I find that I get no replies even with strong signals coming in. May be it's one way but when the prop goes it really goes easy. Of course if other stations don't want to answer that is up to them.
Anyway the prop was excellent yesterday evening Sunday the 27thFeb. It was quite dark here but NA/SA were booming in. What I caught on FT8
Ecuador.. very well done. I haven't had a contact to there on any band yet, let alone 10m.
One for me this evening. SSB, 10w
EH8CLP - Canary Islands. First one into the islands for 2022.
I tried some lower power work on 40m after, but it got a bit embarrassing with LZ144GO struggling with my callsign and other stations chipping in helping to get my callsign across, so called it a night after that one Roll on some proper E skip so I can try some vlp on 10m.
