So, over the years I have been pushed from pillar to post here in this house. 3 times I have had a real nice radio room. Three times I have lost it!
We are fortunate to have a huge Basement with 7 rooms in it. I have taken 2 of them, all for me.
Now I have another radio room, Unfortunately it is housing a lot of Reno materials, and a lot of my airbrushing equipment. But it is all mine again. It is 16x10 feet. So just crammed what radio equipment I have left into one corner. Next year, I can decorate, and have the whole area again. Until now..... This is me.

Nice one Jeff!
Here's hoping you get to settle in one radio room without moving again.
Nice tidy setup and loving the boom mic. My radio room is half that size and absolutely stuffed with cr*p! After seeing your nice setup it may well poke me into tidying mine up.
Hope you get to enjoy some great radio time mate.
All the best.

hi guys.. I had a big room once with plenty of space to do stuff in,,then we moved house based on downsizing,We got rid of lots of stuff that we obviously didnt need or use, anyhow i now have a room of which i think if you remove the toilet and the loo roll holder you will get an idea how small the room is,even the space under the table/shelf is loaded with erm...cr*p!,even if i need to do some soldering i need to remove the keyboard just to make the space. I did try tidying up in there and i found i was just moving stuff about and not getting anywhere. At the moment if i back in,sit on office chair and turn round.....im in!, ade

Coo, that is a tiny radio room!
I won't be complaining about my box room anymore.
I'm sure that any space we have, where we can squeeze in a radio and a seat, is pure heaven regardless.

I share the room with my wife, who is into creative stuff. What a mess that is! Paint, wool, beads, jewelry making tools and all the books "How to.......". I can keep my stuff on a desktop and a few shelves. Guess who gets the comments to clean up and sort things out........

My station commander even pulls her face about my 2 aerials. The bottom of the poles they are mounted on is around 6 to 6.5ft and she is only 5ft tall HOW can they be in her way. I just make her a cuppa and she shuts up lol.

I've got the best station commander in the world Alan. She leaves me in my little room with the only interruption being, "Dinners ready!"
Mind you, I haven't got stonking big antennas laced across the back garden or hanging from the house. Plus my junk stays in my room not anywhere else in the house..........she has me well 'trained'!

The basement sounds great. Station Commanders can be hard to please, my planning permission took a year and it was the broom cupboard ! However it is mine and I'm allowed 3 antenna in the yard.

Antennas can be a problem... I have a beam up for HF, and a Cubicle quad for 2m. Using 2 towers. Wife don't mind them, as she can't see them looking out of the house, or when she is by the pool. She does hate wires though, she says the birds perch on them, and stare at her! Bloody nuisance, as I like wire antennas. Fortunately I have an acre plot. But find it hard to get wires up discreetly. Current one is OK, as it goes over the house, and along the land by side of house. She can't see that one.
Next will be a vertical I think, I can hide that somewhat.

LOL My wife can't see my aerials from the pool . Nearest one is 3 miles away in the local sports centre.

Jez - Love the sound of your broom cupboard, sounds like my first ever radio 'room' back in the early CB days!
Alan - Your missus has to travel three miles to get to a pool? Spoil her like I did mine by gifting her with a blow up pool in the back yard. (Funny thing is we all love using it with the Grandkids in the summer! )
Jeff - Sounds like you're living the lap of luxury with your setup compared to what some here are dealing with.
