Subject: SS7900 / 5555N Programming problem. Sun Aug 29, 2021 8:18 am
Hi, wonder if anyone can help? Trying to program a second hand 5555N as the frequencies are all over the place. Band A channel 1 is 27.3150 MHz and channel 2 is 25.6250 MHz and so on. I have the software installed on my laptop and it is recognising the correct comm port but get a check connection message when I try to read from the radio. Any ideas and help would be very much appreciated :-)

Only time i had that it was the wrong com-port. I get it on a hand-held DMR radio but that is caused by me not pushing the twin plug into the handy all the way just a little bit out if you get what i mean. Somebody else might have a better answer as it is a while ago since i had that type of radio.

I had to keep switching the radio on and off while in the read from radio mode, eventually went into PC mode. Then you can make all the adjustments and save the file back to the radio. Even displays my name now :-)
