Yesterday was very interesting, we had good short skip running here in Finland, 100km to 1000km, yet at the same time i could here short skip conditions on the UK FM band and on mids FM, AND on top of that Germany blowing my windows out on FM mids.

Pretty similar to my QTH Glenn. Had Finland in strong, but also short skip from most UK countries, Scotland mostly. Norway also came through, but I didn't hear Sweden.. the skip seemed to skip over them. And yes, many German too here.

Same for me here, at least in the few minutes here and there that I have had time to put the radio on (having to do lots of non-radio stuff at the moment). Skimming through reading just 1 in 20 words from space weather sites it looks to be the fault of SpaceX rocket launches*
* I know it's not, was just semi-joking, but may be a contributing factor if you read the articles fully. The Sun fired its innards at us in last couple of days which is probably what's made it pretty dead for DX.

I could here few uk stations but was driving most of the morning, missed the action.
Rushed out the door this morning so didn’t hear the usual morning propagation,But judging by the last few days or flat conditions I didn’t think I’d have missed much (Wrong again) So at lunch I was pleasantly surprised to hear loads of 108 divisions on the bands and even on the ukfm which to be honest I rarely venture too. I do love Inter G skip as you never know who and what may appear next.First was a staton in the Mull Of Kintyre and sounding like just across the road with 5/9 sorry I forgotten your name as my log is in the van and this is all from the old grey matter..lol Then 108DD054 John in Dundee on ukfm who I recently had the pleasure of speaking to on his Delta Delta net on 27.305 usb.5/9+10 all the way John and our last QSO was on the Fred in the shed video (26CT1664 unintentional plug I know). Then 108TJ001 Frank on ukfm and another fantastic signal 5/9 again and sounding like you were across the road. Then sadly it was back to the grindstone and that made an enjoyable lunch break. It’s not very often I step over to the dark side..lol as I’m a SSB man though and though, but it was great and I’m sure I didn’t hear skip like this back in the 80’s.Maybe my setup wasn’t up to the job and it certainly wasn’t mobile. Take care everyone and let’s see what tomorrow brings good buddy. Cheers Tom. 26CT4029

Low background noise, which I guess goes in hand with the K 1 reading. There are a few strong Euro stations coming in though, but as MUF is low there's definitely some E's floating about.
Just heard CT4029 Tom's QSO with 30/13LR076. A nice long chat. Roger was strong here, and there were slight flutters of your side coming in to me here in Gloucestershire too Tom.. so there may be a chance of some very short range QSOs today. Probably won't be now I sad that, but feel it's worth listening out for.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Hi SangueG,I do like a natter..lol Seriously though conditions have been a bit strange as of late with the forcast and Index numbers looking like we should have fantastic propagation and skip 24/7,But at times it’s been hard work and this weekend with 11 metre world wide contests happening made things even that bit more difficult. I’m surprised you heard me even though I might only have been back splatter as I’ve took the Sirio 5/8 wave GPE down and put up a 3 element yagi.I was pointed away from Gloucestershire and towards Spain and that QSO Station was pointed toward us.I hope you QSK’ed after I gave my jaw a rest..lol It’s a different world using that antenna and now that the Dust has settled and the other half has calmed down (Their bloody big) I look forward to seeing just how far I can really be heard. Cheers Tom. 26CT4029

You were very low in and out. I wouldn't have been able to have a QSO with you. But it may of been possible if you pointed it my way. Similar to Kaosss' fairly recent 10m QSO to Ireland, where I could hear him in and out, and again he was most probably not pointing it my way. Funny how conditions can play with signals sometimes and signals don't always just fire the direction that maybe they should.
I lost out to you Tom on that one. I lost out to the next person after you too. So I span the dial and found a very strong 205AT. After I heard him getting annoyed at people calling him who were not in the contest I turned off and went shopping lol. Haven't had much chance since then to play radio today, but few times I flicked on it looked pretty dead, so unless I missed some action I guess my gut feeling for some short range skip to happen today never played out. Oh well
..nice antenna btw, if that's your new one in your avatar. I won't be able to have one of those to they release them with Predator style invisibility cloaks.

Busy on the band into here quite late last night. Short to mid range skip hops. Denmark and France both very strong. One AT from Denmark was "Calling 11m, Calling the magic band".. so there we have it, it's not 6m or even 10m which are the magic bands, it's 11m
Had a short bit of fun with a station, from Italy I think it was anyways, on the T5 who just kept saying "I am 1 kilowatt beam" to which my replies were "I am 10 watts dipole". I bored of it before he did though.
