Hi Guys:
Having only recently put my CB radio back in the shack and antenna in the air, I have been having a scan through both the UK40 and CEPT bands, but there doesn't seem to be a great deal of activity.
I'm guessing that there are a few nets around, but I've not found them yet.
Ideally looking for some SSB nets on the CEPT band.
Any suggestions?

I'm suffering with more noise than usual (S9) so can't hear many at present.

Hi Andy & Tony
If you was trying for the Southern Area & South Coast Net on Thursday night (10-03-2022) the conditions were the worse I have experienced for many years.
This was also confirmed by 2 amateur's who were complaining of hums, tones, increased static, Russian radar, snap, crackle & pop from 160-10m
The noise & interference forced me to close the net at 11 o'clock, something that very rarely happens.
Here's hoping for better next week
Ray CT 2290 & CI 2290
PS You could always try the DDB net, which runs from Devils Dyke near Brighton, on a Saturday night, I think it's on channel 28 UKFM and starts at 8 o'clock

Hi Ray & Andy, I kept the evening free so I could have my maiden QSO with your net. The interference seemed to increase as the evening went on, but hopefully all will be good for next week! The DDB Net is actually channel 26 UKFM but at this moment will not go ahead tonight unless someone can take the chair as the regular has pulled out with a bad back. Tony CT 4013 UPDATE: The DDB Net will go ahead tonight 12/03/2022, another member has offered to take the chair from 8.30 till 10.30pm

Hi Tony
Thank you for the update and the right channel number Going off topic now. Have you heard if the DDB will be replacing the Radio caravan after the accident?

Hi Ray, They hope too but it seems they are 'on hold' at present awaiting for the outcome of the insurance claim.
