I'm Owen and I'm from Wigan. I'm a Senior Software Engineer as well as a qualified Electrical Engineer and I like to build stuff in my spare time. I first routed out my mothers old Amstrad 901 CB radio however after some research it seems like we all use USb/Fm/AM etc so I went ahead and bought myself the CST SS 6900v. I'm completely new to all of this and I've invested more money into a decent antenna to mount to the house. I also have a small Thunderpole antenna for the casual ride in the car.
I've just come across the really helpful "Charlie Tango Call Sign. Why & How to apply" video on YouTube which informed me about this site!
Looking forward to hopefully speaking to some of you over the air.
I'd also like to request a callsign too please.
