Hello and welcome
Here is my report of the Monday night PMR net\chat held on the 01-03-2021.
I called out on channel 14, while driving home, and was invited to join the group by Nigel (Campervan man) who was in Crowborough. A quick round of hellos to George (TK08) & Chris (CT1033) in Tonbridge and Dick in Hadlow followed by some 10-5 messaging to Paul in Vigo village, Steve R in Rochester, Dave (MD26) and Boris (AMC1966) in Bexhill. Sorry if I have missed anybody out.
Topics of conversation for the night ranged from Churches to Chapels, antennas and rotators, Nigel and his 1Kw PMR station with his multi element beam ,the number of police cars driving passed me and I think there was also talk of food.
That's it until next time

Hello all and welcome to my review of the Monday night PMR net held on the 08-03-2021
I rocked up to Ashdown Forest, East Sussex (JO-01-bb) and set up the TYT TH9000D and a home made 1\4 wave mag mount.
At about 8 o'clock or 20:00 hours, I tuned the radio to Channel 14 or 446.16875 to find Nigel (CamperVan Man) in Crowborough in conversation to Chris (CT1033) in Tonbridge. I QSKed and was invited in by Nigel. A few minutes later George (TK08) joined from Tonbridge. Then Nigel took control when Dave (MD26) from Bexhill called in, followed by Boris (AMC1966) also in Bexhill and Chris in Little Common, I only heard 3 words from before they moved to channel 12. If you are around the Eastbourne, Pevensey, Bexhill, Hastings area listen out for them and give them a call. Paul M from Meopham called in and was passed round the group, then Steve (KP441) in Cowfold joined. Paul M heard a QSK from Jason (CM01) in Shooters Hill and suggested that a change in location might make him heard by more of us. Paul, Nigel and myself continued chatting and was suprised, as much as Jason, when he called back in and was heard by all. That was a 35 mile contact over, round or through 2 hills. Steve R called in while mobile. As the evening was coming to a close, Ray (CT3466) near Lingfield, called in doing an antenna test on a home made bazooka.
Areas coverd by the net were East & West Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Southeast london
Topics of conversation for the night ranged from the use of grease, the 2 Chinooks that flew over, tools & toolkits, how moving about can increase or decrease the chances of being heard on PMR, Nigels 2Kw station and the use of words like DERV.
That rounds things up till next time
