|  I have an UNUN, but the same applies, for DC every connection is a short. From the RFDX club i got the advice to buy a LCR T1 or T7 (about 14€ at the big Chinese seller) which can also measure inductance. Ground will have no inductance, there will be some inductance between the radiator connector and the SO239 hole. | |

| When reading i stumbled across the random wire antenna, with possible lengths of 29 and 35.5 feet. Hmm, i can get there with the 6m alu pole and the silver rod on top, feeding the bottom of the alu pole through a 9:1 unun and connecting the radiator and ground connector on the silver rod. Also got the impression that vertical random wire antennas are not very efficient. What's your opinion on this? Don't bother or worth the experiment?
