73's Gary. Already got all the books  . Plus the RSGB Radio Communication 'Handbook' (I need bigger hands) and the ARRL Antenna Book (Another 2000 pages).  73 Marc. Would just like to add that anyone can do this. If you want it do it. Foundation is fairly basic it's out there for everyone. If you want it enough you will do it. I'm not a genius. | |

| I am looking to take the Foundation Course but because I live on a small Scottish Island, I can only get to the mainland at weekends due to the last ferry being 8.15pm. Are there any clubs that can do the practical and exam on a weekend? | |

| Hi Paul, if you go to the R.S.G.B website and look up the clubs that are close enough for you to get to you can then contact them and see what their training schedule looks like.

| I looked on the schedules of my nearest clubs and they are all evenings. So I'm not able to attend. I may have to travel if I find a club in GB that does a weekend. | |

| Ah that's a bit tricky Paul.
Did you speak the the club officers? If you explain the situation they may well be able to do something bespoke for you. Signing of the practicals shouldn't be too much of an effort for a willing trainer.
