Ian, I noticed quite a few non-UK countries on the UK FM channels tonight.. I think some of them have the same idea as you Mid block was manic, so I spent an hour mostly on UK FM. As well as Germany and Nederlands, there were a lot of stations coming in from north of UK.
Had a few good contacts to Newcastle and Scotland and islands further north. I didn't start off well though (or maybe I did, depending how you view it) with a contact to 108 CT 1506 in Shetland Islands who said my modulation did not sound great, so we cut it short. I soon realized I was on AM Switching to FM I went back to him a few minutes later and got a better report. Embarrassed, but still impressed we managed a 600 mile QSO using different modes

Sounds like you had some contacts, Sam.
It is a relief to get the second jab. I had my second one, just over a couple of weeks ago.

Paris to Helsinki now on 27,555, very clear, like a copy just down the road, nothing more coming over at the moment.

Most frequencies are pretty quiet here at the moment though there's a couple of strong stations from south of France and Italy coming through. I haven't heard Finland though sadly. Got another hour till work so I'll keep listening and put a couple of calls out on the T5, you never know the skip might line up between us

Fun short skip this evening. North of England, Scotland, Ireland, France and Germany all coming in again. Had fun giving rig checks on UK FM 19 to various people in Newcastle (honestly, it was fun, there's no one near me to do that with) and a few proper QSOs into Ireland
Skips still rolling and roaming now but I'm wacked and need my bed.

Yes, same divs here There is an AT special activation today in 104. He is operating rapid fire.. managed a hello / you're in the log / 73s with him. Briefest QSO ever, then he was onto the next.
I hear some Lima Radios in contest too, but they seem to mostly want to contact only other LRs.

I can hear 26 & 108 on UK FMs but very patchy. Managed to catch a Darren from Cambridge quickly yesterday using my new sneaky tactic of using UK FMs when the EU side is jam packed
