Hi Zarquon’s radio,As I sit in front of the radio right now (11.15pm) the bands are alive with Dx and I mean strong clear signals.Had a chat with 2 Austrian stations on FM Mid block 30+ Db which is amazing. Now I’m waiting for the States on LSB or AM as I’m flicking between the 2 bands.Hopeful of a great bit of DX tonight.Let’s me know if you have anything good. Cheers Tom. 26 CT 4029

Sadly not a dicky bird heard from anywhere in the USA last night on either AM or SSB.So I switched over to Mid Block FM because that’s where I could here the most amount of bleed over on AM.To say the skip last night was good would be an understatement and I switched off at nearly 1am and it was still going strong. All across Europe booming into London S9 at times too,Divisions 13,1,14,15,30,31,35 and 20 and I didn’t hear another 26 Division in all that time,When Germany starts coming in most other signals for me seem to be overpowered. This hope this afternoon or tonight are half as good, but looking out the window and a quick flick through the bands it maybe wishing thinking. That’s sporadic E for you like an old relative just turning up out of the blue..lol How did everyone else fair last night? Cheers Tom. 26 CT 4029

I was asleep by 10pm. I don't do heat well and have felt shattered this week. Looks like I have missed a couple of good nights. Even if I had been awake my shack, if you can call it that, is a spot next to the bed so I would only be listening or facing my wife's wrath. Very pleased for you that you managed to catch some good conditions.
It's pretty quiet here at the moment. Hoping it picks up today as I am at home mostly, and mostly alone.

Happy to have got back on the radio after a short break due to work, and happened to join a Coventry based round on UK FM, which included talking to another CT (26 CT 906 / Phil). Very pleased with that.

Bands seem alive again this morning as they were yesterday too.But yesterday all I could QSO with was either Spain or Portugal,No matter what band or channel Am,Fm and ssb. Very strange.🥺 Up early with coffee in hand and the skip has been booming into London,Seemed spoilt for choice today so stayed on the FM Mid block,The usual suspects 1,13,15,329 and 161 divisions.Isn’t it funny we blame our radios and say their useless only for them to be the best ever at receiving stations the next.Don’t you just love Sporadic E… How’s every else getting on and any unusual or fantastic QSO’s this weekend. And I called and called CT 000 this weekend but sadly no reply. Cheers Tom. 26 CT 4029

Germany floating over on mids Fm now here in Finland, been away from the radio for about 3 weeks, was at a a forest location and was only on our 68megs radio service we have in the Scandinavia area, i found it very good to use, local chat like old cb days back in the Uk, mainly used for hunting and road info in the more deserted areas, but in the evenings it was very active with just general chit chat, back home now and back on 11m . our hobby/hunting radio info here in Finland 1 = 68,050 MHz (5W) 2 = 68,175 MHz (5W) 3 = 67,500 MHz (5W) 4 = 71,375 MHz (5W) 5 = 71,425 MHz (5W) 6 = 71,475 MHz (5W) 7 = 71,625 MHz (5W) 8 = 68,575 MHz (5W) 9 = 70,200 MHz (5W) 10 = 71,025 MHz (5W) 11 = 71,050 MHz (25W) 12 = 71,100 MHz (25W) 13 = 68,100 MHz (25W) TIEPALVELU 14 = 68,300 MHz (25W) AUTOURHEILU 15 = 68,425 MHz (25W) VAPEPA 16 = 68,525 MHz (25W) AUTOURHEILU 17 = 68,225 MHz (25W) VAPEPA 18 = 71,575 MHz (5W) 19 = 72,325 MHz (5W) 20 = 71,350 MHz (5W) 21 = 71,550 MHz (5W) 22 = 71,600 MHz (5W) 23 = 68,375 MHz (25W) 24 = 71,175 MHz (25W) 25 = 71,750 MHz (25W) 26 = 71,900 MHz (25W)

It's gone back to sleep round here lately, let's hope it's the low pressure and it gets better next week. Mind you I can't get rid of the S7 of noise either?? Gonna extend my Long wire and higher it up, see if it helps?

It’s like that here too in London BEARFOOT,One minute everything seems ok then S6-S7 noise the next,Funny snap, crackles and pops.I thought it might be the bad weather and storms we’ve all had lately but it’s not a bad day out there at the moment and they noise is still around on certain bands and frequencies.I’ve just been chasing the DX all over the place until I hear something,There’s a few stations on the mid block Fm and on high band 27.555 the odd voice calling out for DX. Hopefully things will improve this week,I’ve even been getting up and switching the radio on for a listen at 6am before work (I must be crazy) but I’ve noticed if I can hear a repeater on 11 metres I’m almost guaranteed the bands are opening up and it’s also nice to hear how you Tx sounds…lol Cheers Tom. 26 CT 4029

Sans here in London this morning Kilomike,Just a few 14 divisions on the T5 calling out to each other and the usual 1 divisions on Mid block LSB channels 32,34 and 36,To be honest they bleed over to USB and all over the AM too.. Haven’t switched on yet I’ll have my dinner first and let that rumble of thunder and the odd flash of lightning pass first. Roll on summer wherever she’s hiding. Cheers Tom. 26 CT 4029

Just lurking around the AM Mid block for some US of A skip.🤩Sadly nothing this evening but just had a great QSO with three 1 divisions in Milan,At 10pm in terrible weather and signal 5 and 9’s both ways.Crazy conditions and that’s what keeps us going back for more each day.Now where are our American cousins hiding. 14 and 1 div worked on my old stalker and 10w only bad side i can't do the zeros, will need to do a 5KC shift mod or leave it alone..
swapped over radios now as T5 has gone crazy, funny how 10m is quiet, waterfall showing nothing.

Moving the whole thing manually here by hand, the old arm strong method, while I sort out a rotator
Its pitch black outside and the mast is at the bottom of the garden, i disconnected the vertical and lowered it down due to the winds here. Anyway Tom 73's for now switching off here.
