Well done both. I didn't even hear a VK this way on 10m. 15m and 20m were full of them, some in contest and some just having good long rag chews, but nothing to me from that way on 10. I managed to work the same big gun I have worked a few times from US Virgin Isls and one from Brazil, and that was it on 10. Australia remains on my hoping-to-work-one-day list.

As propagation improves you will be working more VK's than you can shake a stick at . Plenty of inter continental ragchewing going on , on 10m SSB .

02/10/22 Not much heard from the East today a couple of low VK,YB & VR2 but nothing workable. I did work a G station about 46miles away which is a rarity living in the pit of doom . Cuba and Andorra were new for the year , NJ,VT, 2xNC,IL and VA from the States. (10m SSB).

A new one for me on any ham bands mixed in with a few Russian contacts today. Last time I worked was in '94 on 11m 59SG00. SSB, 10w.

Didn't hear Comoros or Rodriguez sadly, congrats on those, but there did appear to be stations from almost every part of the planet on 10m today. I think think this is the busiest I have heard it for a long time, major contest days aside. VK6IA & BG0CAB were so strong this morning they sounded like being in the same street as me, but I didn't manage to get back to them unfortunately.
I did manage a QSO with VU2XO, which is only my second 10m to India. The few US ones I worked were just east coast, but K3RA was a departure from SSB and worked on FM simplex. Had a few not complete contacts on US FM repeaters too, they just got too messy for me continue trying on especially when it sounded like three repeaters opening at once at one point on the same frequency.
Had some advice from KC3NQB... Get my antennas outside and I will get out better. Well you learn something everyday

Well done with the 10m FT4 contacts there Mike.
I got to the party late so FT8 was wall-to-wall but managed to squeeze in a couple on FT4 including another USA state and a new grid in Russia. Got excited when my screen lit up with South America but try as I might I didn't managed a single contact. (Would've been great for my 'Worked all Continents'. )
Was a fun bit of activity with much piling-up, stomping, splattering and all the usual digital forays. (Flipping love it!)
If I ever get a 'wet square' I'll probably match it with the inevitable excitement.

Ten was quite full up but imo is still not so good for smaller stations. I hear just about every thing but running near 100watts it's like not being heard.
Think we just have to keep at it until the prop matches our stations.
VP8LP was storming in here for quite a while and worked him with ease but some nearer couldn't get a look in.
Remember hang around after you call some one as they can come back several minutes after you called, happens to me quite a bit.

Yeah was pretty much big beam boys but I'm always grateful if they can pick up my 10 Watts.
Great tip with the hanging around scenario and have bagged a few that way so thank them for their persistence.
Got to admit that my first digital foray was a technical triumph but left me a little 'meh'. This time around though I'm having a ball!

I do get off moments especially when contacts just will not go. But I always go back for more and just when you think nothing is going your way something pops up, that makes it worth while.

10m SSB has been in great shape since last Friday but yesterday I worked my first station in California and today my first Japanese station on the band/mode ( just a couple of highlights) 73

I didn't have a lot of time for myself yesterday sadly, but did manage to join in a little. Didn't hear the amount of UK stations you managed Right at the beginning GM2V came through down to me loud. He came back to me, but he didn't hear my serial and district code. After second time I tried to pass the info he disappeared completely. Frustrating. Don't know what conditions caused that, maybe a very short bit of Sporadic E?
Pleased to manage a few to north, central and south Americas, but no new ones there. Oman eventually, he was very patient for a contester with my weak signal. The ones I was most happy about though were YO8/LZ4UU & YO4NF, despite the shorter distance were actually first with Romania on 10m.
I've submitted my short log already as will have even less time for radio today. Pretty full agenda next weekend too when CQWW is on oh well.
Just a little shout out for member here TG064, M7CVK if you read this. I heard your contest QSO with H25A. You were very low in the noise to me, but you made it to him, and I didn't. Well done! You're doing amazing with your 6 Watts!

Well done Mike.
I've tried for the Russian DXpedition Team on several bands now even scanning their alternative frequencies but no luck as of yet.

Hi. After a couple of months got back onto FT-890 and got some good results. B7P - 28.620 - USB HZ1SK - 28.450 - USB P40T - 28.302 - USB
Added 8 new countries to my tally. Very chuffed with my 890, 5/8 th Venom, standard mic and roughly 7 Watts. Next step is some sort of beam but limited space here. Best of luck all. Stuart

That's a great come back Stu. Chuffed for you to get China logged with that power, well done!
Not sure on the P40 one you managed, do know if the call is correct and where that one is?
Wish I could of had the whole weekend for the radio but my daughter was home for the weekend, and family comes first (don't know if I'll still be saying that if any of you come back and say you logged N Korea during the contest... lol, of course I will).
I did manage some minutes here and there, contest on Saturday and WARC bands on Sunday. I entered my WWCQ log log as 12-hour as only participated on Sat, even though didn't do anywhere near 12 hours. Couldn't manage your new country score or distance Stu, but pleased to manage new one for me 3V8SS - Tunisia, SSB 10w.

Aruba.....Tunisia would be a new one for me. generally just totting up some new countries (35 so far.not bad in such as short time) with quick qso here and there between renovations. may hear some UK CT as i seem to be getting a good distance. G8X Devon and M0HFC east yorkshire..Loving it.
