It looks directional by the contacts in that thread, but I think some of it is due propagation and the times I get to operate. I've had a few contacts in other directions since posting that, but still to early to say if directional. Can certainly throw RF well at low angles to south America.
Well done on getting your Master of Europe! I am in your club too of gaining via just phone modes as shows granted Nov 2021 and I only started playing with digital the last day of 2022.
Very well done to John and Al to working 1A0C! 1A0 is showing as no. 77 in Club Log Most Wanted. Gutted to miss out on that one, but very pleased some of you did. Will update the table later when I'm home.

Thanks for the info Neal, I may have to give one a try. Not too sure Sheila will appreciate anything else in the garden though, as there’s already the T2LT, EFLW, G5RV junior, & six-metre dipole for ham operating, also a Wellbrook 1530 and a rather large (but sadly no longer working) homebrew MW loop for listening! I remember working 1A0A back in the 80s, but it’s a new one for me this time around. Also well done on the MOE with SSB, it’s a lot more difficult earning awards the proper way isn’t it?

Here Neal, got something for you......
9A1AA - Croatia - 1 point
OM2VL - Slovak Rep. - 2 points
IQ3AZ - Italy - 3 points
SP9KAO - Poland - 4 points
Certainly was a good bit of fun throwing myself into some competition action and although I won't be breaking any records it certainly beats my previous attempts.
(Yes...I did need to put up a new antenna and my wife obliged once more with a 10m EDZ in the loft. )
Just a half hour stint on the radio before rejoining family in preparation for Sunday dinner. Look forward to giving it all another go another time.

Yes!!! Really pleased for you Victor! Bet you're over the moon with getting those in one session, I am that you have No nil points on the board from anyone this year, that's awesome.
I worked one point for the challenge today which matches one of yours. Was at 09:35 our time.

Well done Victor in getting off the mark, and glad Neal & Craig got 1A0C, this is the first SMOM activation I’ve noticed in the three or four years that I’ve been back in the hobby properly.
I told you all the Es would return as soon as I went away
Unfortunately I forgot to pack my little Tecsun PL-368, so I don’t know if the band was open in Switzerland.

It was a lucky opening and handily there were some competition action on the go. (I'll be wearing that mike key out at this rate! ) At least I won't be finishing on the 'Eurovision' nil-point like before.
Shame about your Tecsun but make sure you enjoy your trip my friend.

Managed 23x 10m SSB contacts in far from ideal conditions today, but only this one was good for a point. Finding it difficult this year, not to get through to stations, just to actually get to hear countries I haven't worked on the list. Come on world, wake up for these last few weeks! ...and come on the air when I'm on there too

Nice to see a few more points being added. No more for me, but have had a couple of QSOs this evening with the skip running well around central Europe.

Never even heard it before and he was in and out, waiting for him to call no 6 and he was fading. All of a sudden he called no 6 and was loudest I'd heard him, just pure luck but made up. Heard him go back to a M7 a bit later to so bet he was made up to
