Lol am sure there will be plenty of Es to come Neal
Been a fairy dire couple of weeks on 10m , finished work a bit early so thought I would fire up the rig , very little on the scope but there was activity on 11 , called CQ on 10 and straight away two Italian stations in the log , both were 5/9 and they were only on verticals , moral of the story , always worth calling out even if the band appears dead
Fingers crossed the E season kicks in proper sooner rather than later

Been away a couple of days. Just turned the radio on after getting in and there's some E skip currently on 10 & 11 from Scandinavia down through France and Spain. Just caught one into France.

Down here in Barnstaple it started about 16:00 & finished about 21:00z. Signals were reasonable apart from the Polish station that was extremely weak. I could hear most of Central Europe and Spain, but nothing from UK, Benelux, the Balkans , Portugal, or North Africa

Had the usual work yesterday John, and then was out in the evening for a family birthday meal, so missed all that. Well done for getting those. Hopefully it will be good again later today, but of course because I am not too busy today then it won't be lol.
Just managed one into Italy, so at least have 1 point for the weekend. He struggled a bit with understanding my questions, but he was using over 50x more Watts than I was though.

Very well done on this contact Al. I haven't heard Kenya on the band on SSB at all this season. Using FT8 another station there showed via PSK Reporter they received my signal a couple of times, but they never returned my call. That's the closest I have got.

Nice going Craig. I saw Iceland and Scandinavia were around yesterday on QRZCQ. Sadly there was absolutely nothing from that direction down here in Devon

Nice one guys. I was listening here, but it looks like my QTH was the only place in the UK his signal wasn't landing well. I couldn't here them well enough to attempt calling.

Here wasn’t very strong here Neal, only 5/3, he told me he was only using 15 watts into a Moxon. He also said he was actually a long way up towards the summit working portable.

More a 3-4/3 here. I was only picking out half the words spoken. I heard a couple of stations near me work him like he was next door to them, but it wasn't to be for me.
I just worked a station, so happy to get a point in for this weekend.

You’re hearing G stations locally?
I haven’t heard a local G here in North Devon on 10 Metres since January!

Yes, there's more activity on 10 than 11 here. Being only just over 10 miles north of Swindon there are active club members there. Most seem to hear and get out fairly well, I guess because they are higher than me. A couple of strong ones to mention though to listen out for are M0KYB (contest call M1T) and G5MCL who uses a 2 element delta loop on 10m (I'd love one of those).
It's good to hear activity on 10m. But being so close to them is not so fun at other times on other bands. My receivers can get completely overloaded on 2m contest nights when their beams are pointing my way.
