Little action at my QTH and once again confirmed by Barneys Bedford KiwiSDR who is receiving as much (or as little?!) as me. Definitely a big dark hole down this way.
Once again my 10W isn't up to much but exciting nonetheless seeing everyone else getting some contact.
Next year for me maybe? Better work on that Intermediate and flipping move house!

The IARU contest has created a lot of activity, the England & ROI contacts took a bit of getting…

90% Italy landing at my QTH. Interesting to see what has been received, or not, in other areas.
Victor, maybe extra Intermediate power would help. But maybe not, as you say you weren't hearing so much your way, could just be how the signals were landing. I have been running Foundation levels today and done quite well, even though sadly only one new one for the points list. The 2E0 call gave me some problems, three of the south American stations I made contact with just couldn't understand it and gave up on me ..I think some people will be thankful if the proposals go through to be able to change to M8/M9 calls.
League table updated. There's been a little jig at the top as it stands whilst I type this.

Cheers Neal, Apart from that one reasonable opening to South America conditions have been very poor here on 10. I was hoping for some activity today with the YOTA Contest taking place, but nothing heard at all, I think the contest continues tomorrow, so fingers crossed for a bit of a Es opening. Conditions are guaranteed to improve next Friday as we’re off to Switzerland for a long weekend to visit Swiss Family Hammett…

Tuned the radio to 10m thinking what the hey and damn near wet myself when I hear a flood of CX4's, CX8's and CX9! Uruguay was flooding in.
Not a flipping hope in heck of getting back to them but did at least have a bash.
Is there a M.M.F.A.S.F. award available? (Most Miserable Failed Attempts So Far!)
Hope some of you 'big boys' caught a bit of the action. (Still going on at this moment in time.)

John / Victor, it's definitely been very quiet to my QTH on SSB since I got back. A few sporadic openings that have been strong enough for the odd contact here there, but nothing new to me for this year to gain any more points. I had one with 9A5ADH last night who was booming in for a bit. A couple of other mega stations from Spain and Brazil were booming in too, but not for long. Anyone else hearing anything?
The WhatsApp (you're cracking me up John ) has had a lot of traffic even if not audible. It showed there was lot of Euro skip last night between here and Germany and Poland. On Sunday night it was wide open to Scandinavia and Scotland, after getting one "WhatsApp" with GM3WIP I tried for a while on SSB hoping to get someone from there for a point, but not a sausage. I might try sending FT8 QRT messages when finishing playing on there along the lines of 'QSY 28400 USB' and then putting some CQs out to see if I can drum up some action.
Hope you enjoy your Switzerland break John. Never been there, but heard they have a few "little hills" which are good for SOTA
For everyone else, really hope conditions pick up a bit for the remainder of this challenge.

Had quite a chinwag with him. Well done for getting a couple more in the log.
Unfortunately for me, this one and the other few I managed won't give me any more points for this as already bagged. At least I know my homemade loop can fire some RF east as had a quickie with OD5VB.
Anyone else get anything? I think I saw John's callsign on the DX Map. Some stations coming through still now including the Danish station above.

Brilliant to get Lebanon with the loop Neal! I assume you mean a delta loop, not magnetic. I’ve toyed with the idea, do you find it has much in the way of directional properties? Last night I only worked Portugal and Spain, yesterday’s highlight for me was finally getting my QRZ.com “Master of Europe” award, it took about 18 months but at least I haven’t got to share half of it with a computer as all contacts were on SSB…
