Hi. I have a Retevis rt23 and a PSR 282. I heard someone talking on the PSR. When I went on same frequency on the Retevis I couldn’t hear anything. I have had the Retevis for 2 years now and havnt heard a thing on it. Any help please

Hi Berni,
Might be worth checking that the squelch isn't set too high on the Retevis (menu option 5 - SQL) and that the CTCSS on receive is set to off (menu option 27 - R-CDC).
Also have a check whether you have any repeater offsets set up. (You don't say what frequency you heard on to distinguish a simplex or repeater communication.)
For step use 6.25kHz to align with the Amateur frequencies on 2m/70cm.

It was 135.683 on air band

Ah, that’d explain it then Berni…….
All air-band traffic is AM (Amplitude Modulation) which your PST scanner can handle but the Retevis is a FM (Frequency Modulation) receiver so won’t demodulate those signals.
As for the Retevis the VHF/UHF Amateur bands can be quiet but worth searching out for local Repeater frequencies in your area for activity. Even then some of the repeaters can be devoid of traffic unfortunately.
