Pinch pinch first day of the month. Can you believe it September already and doesn’t time fly when your having fun while wearing your mask. Joking aside the 11m bands have been quiet here in London since yesterday morning,For me anyway as I’ve heard nothing whatsoever. Not even noisy just absent with life if seems.Has anymore else in the UK heard anything on 11m in the past 24 hours? Cheers Tom. 26 CT 4029

Exactly the same thing here in London too morning at 10.30am. Mostly on Mids Fm,So as usual I head for a repeat when conditions seem on the up.Chatted to a couple of 13 divisions,329 Czech and 163 Cardiff,All fantastic signals like talking to someone down the road.Another flick around the bands and the skip was gone as quick as it had arrived. It’s been up and down with the propagation in the UK lately with some great contacts then nothing for days,Autumn is nearly here and with it the change in radio conditions. But I’ll still have a good listen tonight as you never know what’s on the cards.I’m still holding out for 2 divisions..lol Cheers Tom. 26 CT 4029

Managed to hear faint voices of stateside super bowl yesterday evening approx 9pm with beam fully extended (approx 30 ft) pointing directly their way, long path zero but this time last year long path worked well into Alaska so always worth a go..

Heard 3 division Brazil on T5 again last night and so did everyone else so no contact’s there. Don’t you just love it when stations all call out together and then nothing is heard by anyone. This morning a QSO with 35 division Salzburg and nothing else so far.Hopefully conditions will pick up this morning. Still a little bit quiet here in London on a sunny Sunday morning,I’ll leave the radio on 27.555 and see if I can here any of those divisions.

Just flicked through all channels, all modes. All silent here except for a distant convo on 27.525 USB of which I can't make enough out of to try and join in. Put a couple of calls out on the T5 and also UK FM 19, just in case there was anyone like me just sat there listening, but nothing back
If I am reading the maps properly it looks like there could be few skip pockets between UK and north US and Canada this evening, so fingers crossed.

Sadly still quiet in this part of the world as it has been for most of the day.

Pretty much same here In past hour have heard some quiet 1div stations around the T5, but that's all. Scanning through the whole SW bands heard nothing from US direction above 15m. Shame, really had a good feeling for this evening, but calling it a night now.

Yeah dead as a Dodo here too,Just the occasional local Londoner heard calling out CQ CQ on the T5. Not surprising really as conditions are not at their best with a SFI in the 80’s and falling. Thanks for the heads up SangueG as next time we might be bragging about how great the DX was. Cheers Tom. 26 CT 4029
The skip has been relentless all evening since 5pm and I’ve been informed it’s been like that most of the day.I’ve never heard such loud and strong 13 divisions and their still just as clear as earlier.Mostly on the highs 27.415-27.655.Even heard 3 divisions but sadly no reply.Radio is just crazy as nothing spectacular for days then your spoilt for choice the next. Now 31 divisions on the T5.. Cheers CQ CQ CQ DX Tom. 26 CT 4029
Sorry typo 14 Divisions France,You just can’t get the staff nowadays..🥺

Typical, on a day I chose not to put a radio on to listen because the predictions didn't look great. Think I'm going to go back to ignoring weather sites and start using just my ears again. Really happy you managed catch some action.

I’m the same SangueG,Trying to learn as much as I can about Propagation and Solar Flux,A and K indices etc etc. Too my untrained eye and what I’ve read the conditions for propagation on the 11m band were poor to nil,So why was there fantastic skip until way past 10pm last night I’ll never know.I’m sure someone on the forum better experienced and knowledgeable will enlighten us. So I haven’t threw the charts and guides in the bin I’ll still study them daily and switch the radio on just to be sure, because after all how often do we actually get a forecast right.Just look at Michael Fish.. It was silent here as well Alan during a quick tune in the the day.
Only when I decided to do a bit of SWL'ing last night skipping through the bands I was surprised to find as Tom-Chickenfoot says France kicking through on 11m and French Amateurs on 10m too! Didn't get to shout back, (was on the Lowe receiver), but was fun hearing them coming in.
Often can't beat the "old ways" of just turning the radio on, tuning that dial and using your ears.
