Hi Gmonkey, thank you, but no, wrong one, it was 2 to 3 inches long, was black in colour, and either end was a copper/brass looking, wish i had a picture of it, but cant seem to find one, i remember a guy called alan Decca using one from swinton in manchester many many year's ago, i have seen video's on youtube of people using them to finely tune cam's, the plastic is hardened its not soft plastic, if i find a picture ill post it,

ok this is not the item but look at where the red arrow is pointing,, but if you can image it being smaller in size about 2 inches to 2 1/2 inches and having copper looking end's, almost like brass you might get the idea,

Maybe this from The Jungle Site beginning with an Am....
Hozan D-16 Core Alignment Driver Set by HOZAN.
It looks like the same tool but made of plastic - try putting in potentiometer trimming tool in the search for more options.
On The auction site try:
This set covers has about every tool you need but again in plastic (but comes from the US).
Alignment Trimmer Tool Set Kit Combo Pack For Electronics, TV, CB PC, Ham Radio
Most of the adjusters would typically be non metal due to the nature of the work.
Hope that helps a little.

hi Nubster thank you for looking for harrier cb hq, i bought the uniden 300 homebase and i happy with that rig,, but thank you so much for looking,
Hi Gmonkey if you go back to the 80's-90's, before any of these set's was readily available, there was one tool very small, the size of you little finger, it was hard plastic, and in the middle it was copper/brass looking, i found a video with a guy doing a tune up on a midland portapak, if you paws it at exactly 3 min's and 10 seconds you will see the item i am trying to find,

May I ask why didnt you ask the guy who did the video for you,and I'm not being sarcastic so dont take offence of my question please ,I thought it would be a obvious thing to do as he has the tool you want.

Hello NUBSTER, when i post a message about the item i had already spent 4 day's going through various tool's site's to find the tool, i posted the message in the hope some one might know what the name of the tool was, as this is a forum with with very kind people my hope was that some one would know, it wasn't till some time later that a video of the guy using the tool showed up on my browser that i asked the guy, so my message on here had already been posted,
i then asked the guy to do a video on tool's that they use and he agreed to it, and thanked the guy and wished him all the best for 2021, took a picture of the tool and here we are all caught up,
Hi glenn dog, thank you, i know about the video i had the guy to make one if he had time, and he was kind enough to do so, very kind gentleman,

well its done, my SuperStar ForceOne is now all modded out, its in export mode with FM, so it goes up to 28.315 and down to 25,415, the part i think is cool is david managed to fit a dropper in the radio with a 4kc drop, so when i am on muppet's and it reads 27.785.00 i click the NB button and the radio drops to 27.781.30 cool part is it works on all band's, so not only has it got alpha's 3/7/11/15/19 it can drop down nearly 5kc between channels,
