Yep. Maybe it's a good chance to actually use the forum chat as well when these things kick in? If we post here and jump on chat too.

TBH Ian that's what the chatbox is really for but most dont seem grasp that I've seen people posting on it or asking about how to get call signs makes me wonder how some put there trousers on in the morning lol even when me and other old members have explained how its ment to be used, that's what we used our chatbox for on the original forum when we first started , if I'm gonna go on the radio I will post on the chatbox mate. telling others what's happening on the frequencies.

You're spot on Martin, that is one exemplary use of the Chatbox facility, (not for requesting a callsign where it gets missed! )
Keep up the good work!

Just had a quick chat with Ian, (Captain Fantastic), on that there Chatbox. Got to admit I haven't really used it before but it's a handy tool. Ian had some activity for a bit there in Germany but nothing heard here.
Anyway, must pop off for my dinner

I will use it again for sure. Very useful, and also great to have a quick exchange there with Victor even if it wasn't over the airwaves!
For everyone else, it is not hard - honest! - and when the skip opens up and you are in front of the PC then it might add an extra dimension, even though the goal is obviously to connect via the radio!
Maybe next time if possible I'll swap over to the horizontal dipole instead of a vertical 1/2 wave and see if that makes a difference in me getting out.

I have made some good contacts in the past, when people have posted on the old shout box. Hopefully, the shout box on here, will get more use as conditions improve.

The band between 27.415 and 27.605 has been cracking good today and yesterday, here on the west coast of Ireland. Mostly French and Italian. I can't wait to finish my magnetic loop antenna for the attic.

I hope it works again tomorrow as I'll be back home and can try to join in. I can only do the EU CB band (up to 27.405), but USB and LSB as well. Listening to the webSDR today there was a lot of LSB going on.
If I can I'll hop on here and the chatbox.

Yes that whole band is lively right now where I'm located. I've counted 15 stations, some very strong, and mostly France Italy and the Netherlands.
